Q: Does a personal trainer just follow me from machine to machine and count reps?

No! Definitely not. Our personal trainers are actively working with you to help you meet your goals–and we’re not just personal trainers, we’re fitness coaches. Q: How often should I work with my personal trainer?

Most of our clients meet with their trainer 2 to 3 times per week if they want to see progress quickly. How often you meet will depend on your goals and current fitness level.

Q: Will I need to do additional workouts on my own?

You might. You may have extra goals from your trainer that help you focus on cardio, flexibility, or nutrition. We encourage you to workout on your own in addition to your personal training sessions to see results even sooner!

Q: Isn’t an exercise video the same thing?

They can be a great tool, but they aren’t a total fitness program like we offer. You could get cardio results, but you won’t get the other 2 major components of a results-getting fitness program.

Q: Do I need to be a member of a gym?

Not at all. We can help you develop a personalized fitness program that you can do at home using nothing but your own body. Of course, a gym membership may be worthwhile and help you meet your goals quicker.

Q: Isn’t cardio the best way to lose weight?

If you’ve ever done hours of cardio and still not lost weight, you’ll know the answer is cardio isn’t necessarily the best. Too much cardio can drop your metabolism and cause you to gain weight.  Cardio is an important part of your fitness program, but strength training will help you develop lean muscle which burns fat 24 hours a day.
